High blood cholesterol does not cause symptoms. A blood test is the only way to detect this condition.

Blood tests check cholesterol levels - Total cholesterol: ≥ 240mg / dL. - LDL cholesterol: ≥ 160 mg / dL. - HDL cholesterol: ≤ 40 mg / dL. - Triglycerides: ≥ 200 mg / dL For accurate results, do not eat or drink anything (except water) for 9-12 hours before blood sampling.
